It works in two parts: the collar and a small hand held control that delivers a small shock to the Dog. The shock itself feels like a pinch on the K-9's neck. Most collars have a setting that you can control how hard the pinch is. This is the most humane way to train a dog ever. No more yelling or hand corrections.
