Bought the XD9 2.5 years ago. Later bought the XD 45 compact. XD9 is an easy pistol to carry and shoot. Smooth lines don''t snag or torture the body. Relatively light. Shoots well. Fits most hands. SIGs are too big for me. This is perfect. Don''t need the swap out frame parts of the XDm. LEARNED: the loaded chamber indicator must be cleaned or will not operate correctly. Spray cleaner into flipper thing from both sides and shoot compressed air to blast out. No warning about that one. Shoots everything well. Take down is easy. Cleaning is easy. Factory sights are good. Fits some holsters for similar sized Glocks. Sig sights fit XD. I DO prefer the frame safety like the 1911. Angle of grip same as 1911. The gun scared Glock, thus the new Glocks with 1911 grip angle. 2 tone has stayed nice. No wear to be seen. Sold my other 9. Who needs it when you have this? I would like to consider the compact or the subcompact, if deep concealed is necessary. for the good of others and the glory of God

Great handgun. I also compared the Glock, Smith & Wesson M&P when buying. I purchased the 9mm XD Duo Tone. Very happy with my purchase. I would buy another in a 45 ACP next time.
